Position: Line Cook (multiple positions available)

Location: Greater Sudbury, Ontario

Company Description:Established in 1922, the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club is a family-oriented, eco-friendly club that supports our community while providing outstanding golf, curling, dining, and social experiences for the enjoyment of all Members and Guests. Conveniently located in the heart of Sudbury, Idylwylde is nestled between Laurentian University and beautiful Lakes Ramsey and Nepahwin. Position Description:Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will be a hard-working line/prep cook looking to join a fun, passionate and busy team environment.

Some of the responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and serving meals set out by the Chef in a timely manner and that meet our member satisfaction standards.
  • Rotate on a daily basis (and during scheduled shifts) from various stations in order to complete different tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment at all times by observing kitchen rules.
  • Ensuring quality and consistence throughout all items prepared.
  • Prepping for daily service, weddings, golf tournaments and other events as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50lbs, and able to stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours.
  • Able to work a range of shifts Sunday to Saturday, including early mornings, and late nights.
  • Have a passion for cooking and learning.
  • Previous experience working in a busy restaurant kitchen.
  • Culinary school training is an asset but not required.

Compensation:
  • $18 - $23 hourly.
