Accounting Manager

Randstad Staffing is currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join a rapidly growing organization in the North of Winnipeg.
This position would report directly to the CEO and is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations in the accounting department are running smoothly

Responsibilities
- Ensuring day-to-day operations in AR and AP are running smoothly
- Leading and mentoring a small group of employees in the finance department
- Prepare and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Assist in month-end processes, reconciliations and analysis
- Identify process improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA designation or working towards it
- 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced accounting role with previous leadership experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including AP and AR
- Fantastic attention to detail, able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Excellent Excel skills and Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be considered an asset
- Strong business acumen and a great team player
