Finance Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing organization, is actively seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in accounting and finance who has had high levels of oversight and responsibility, and who is task-oriented and comfortable being hands-on daily.

The successful candidate will have experience with leading the finance function in a manufacturing or software environment, will enjoy a fast-paced company, and will be great with technology and process improvement. Senior leadership will rely on this person to provide expertise and guidance on matters related to compliance, tax, foreign exchange, process improvements, and general accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, etc).

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all Finance, Accounting, and Tax functions for the organization.
• Develop and maintain budgets, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.
• Prepare and present financial reports and packages to senior leadership, and provide strategic support.
• Manage foreign exchange and US sales tax compliance.
• Collaborate with external accountants and consultants to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Develop and implement new strategies, processes, policies, and systems.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and work closely with senior leadership to improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 6+ years of senior leadership experience in finance/accounting, ideally in a manufacturing or software environment
• Comfortable being very hands-on and "in the weeds" of complex accounting tasks. You will thrive in this role if you are task-oriented.
• People leadership experience and very strong interpersonal skills
• CPA highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Advanced Excel skills required
  • In general, strong IT and systems skills and able to leverage technology to improve processes
• Experience with foreign exchange and US sales tax and compliance
• High level of organization and detail orientation
• Strong communication skills
