Commercial Refrigeration Technician

Overview

As a CBRE Commercial Refrigeration Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining commercial refrigeration, HVAC and electrical equipment at multiple facilities. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. Locations include Pickering, Richmond Hill, Scarborough, and Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment, commercial refrigeration systems, calibrate instruments, gauges, and control components.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety.
• Troubleshoot difficult equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values; influence the quality of own work.
• Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
• Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; complete maintenance and repairs records as required.
• Review assigned work orders, estimate time and materials needed to complete repair, order necessary materials, and maintain inventory of parts in service vehicle. Utilize CMMS to manage work orders and track completion.
• Responsible for the preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of HVAC equipment, air handling units (AHUs), dehumidification units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and commercial refrigeration equipment (including walk-in coolers and freezers, and self-contained units).
• Oversee and inspect the work performed by third-party vendors.
