The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Claims Handler to join their team in a full time, in office role based in Surrey. This position focuses on investigating and managing property related claims while acting as a key point of contact between homeowners and construction professionals. The successful candidate will review claims, determine coverage under applicable policies, and coordinate the resolution process to ensure files are handled efficiently and in accordance with policy terms and regulatory requirements.

About You
You are a detail oriented insurance professional who enjoys investigative work and problem solving. You are comfortable managing multiple files simultaneously while maintaining organized documentation and clear communication with all stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are confident working with homeowners, contractors, and technical professionals to resolve claims effectively.
Necessary Qualifications Include
• Level 2 insurance license preferred or willingness to obtain within six months
• Experience handling property related claims
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Ability to review technical or engineering reports related to claims
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
• Additional language skills such as Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, or Cantonese considered an asset
