Job description

Overview:

Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst, Ontario, is seeking a dynamic, benevolent and visionary leader for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). As the CEO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services, and fostering a culture of excellence, under the guidance of the Board of directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to guide the hospital in achieving its mission and goals.
  • Collaborate with the board of directors, medical staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement the strategic plan.
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of healthcare professionals, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of healthcare services.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and healthcare organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
  • Ensure the optimal use of human, financial and material resources.
  • Exercise immediate and assertive action when addressing sensitive matters, ensuring decisions are made promptly, appropriately, and in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment in all situations, ensuring decisions prioritize safety, professionalism, fiscal responsibility, and ethical standards.

Required Profile:

  • First cycle university degree in business administration or commerce or related field.
  • At least five years’ experience in a senior executive role
  • Experience within the healthcare industry is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Very strong written and spoken communication ability in French and English
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
