Innovation Director (AI) [#4916]

Alteo is looking for an Innovation Director (AI) for a permanent position based in Montreal.

In a context of rapid technological change, your main role will be to help the company strengthen its capacity for innovation, particularly in AI, search engines, and modern architectures. This role focuses on technological vision, applied research, and innovation; transforming ideas into concrete solutions, in close collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities:

• Define and develop the company's technological vision (2–5 years).
• Lead innovation initiatives in AI, LLMs, search engines, and emerging technologies.
• Supervise or contribute to R&D projects, proofs of concept, and experiments.
• Work closely with:
  • the VP of Engineering (execution, transfer to teams),
  • the product team (customer value alignment),
  • management (strategic priorities).
• Conduct structured and relevant technology monitoring to anticipate market and technology developments.
• Contribute to the internal and external promotion of the organization's technological expertise (technology representation).

Profile:

• Technology leadership: Significant experience as a senior architect, technical expert, or technology leader.
• Complex systems: Solid experience in designing and evolving distributed or large-scale architectures.
• Artificial intelligence: Strong interest or practical experience in AI, ML, and LLMs.
• Vision & execution: Ability to think strategically about technology while understanding implementation constraints.
• Career development: Desire to take on an expanded role that could evolve into a VP of Technology position.

Alteo est à la recherche d'un Directeur de l'innovation (IA) pour un poste permanent basé à Montréal.

Dans un contexte de forte évolution technologique, votre rôle principal sera d'aider la compagnie à renforcer sa capacité d’innovation, notamment en IA, moteurs de recherche et architectures modernes. Ce rôle est centré sur la vision technologique, la recherche appliquée et l’innovation; la transformation des idées en solutions concrètes, en collaboration étroite avec l’ingénierie et le produit.

Responsabilités:

• Définir et faire évoluer la vision technologique de la compagnie (2–5 ans).
• Piloter les initiatives d’innovation en IA, LLMs, moteurs de recherche et technologies émergentes.
• Encadrer ou contribuer à des projets de R&D, preuves de concept et expérimentations.
• Travailler en étroite collaboration avec :
  • le VP Ingénierie (exécution, transfert vers les équipes),
  • le produit (alignement valeur client),
  • la direction (priorités stratégiques).
• Effectuer une veille technologique structurée et pertinente afin d’anticiper les évolutions du marché et des technologies.
• Contribuer au rayonnement interne et externe de l’expertise technologique de l’organisation (représentation technologique).

Profil:

• Leadership technologique : Expérience significative en tant qu’architecte senior, expert technique ou leader technologique.
• Systèmes complexes : Solide expérience en conception et évolution d’architectures distribuées ou à grande échelle.
• Intelligence artificielle : Intérêt marqué ou expérience concrète en IA, ML et LLMs.
• Vision & exécution : Capacité à penser stratégie technologique tout en comprenant les contraintes d’implémentation.
• Évolution de carrière : Désir d’occuper un rôle élargi pouvant évoluer vers un poste de VP Technologie.
