Job Description- Understanding and adhering to engineers', scientists', chemists', and other researchers' instructions and specifications.
- Choosing and arranging the necessary lab equipment for tests, experiments, and analyses.
- Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses of various substances and materials in the lab.
- Assisting with chemical solution preparation.
- Maintaining a neat and clean laboratory, as well as sterilizing all work surfaces and equipment.
- Inspecting materials and equipment on a regular basis and ordering more as needed.
- Other workers involved in chemical processing must be trained and monitored.
- Working with other engineers, chemists, and scientists to improve manufacturing processes and methods.
- Compiling technical reports and interpreting test results
- Keeping current with field advancements and sharing new information with colleagues.
Requirements
- An associate's degree or equivalent.
- Additional math, biology, chemistry, and physics courses would be beneficial.
- An apprenticeship or on-the-job training that has been completed.
- Excellent understanding of lab safety.
- A working knowledge of computer science and statistics is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, observational, and time management abilities.
- Ability to focus and follow instructions for extended periods of time.
