At Nöord Technologies, we empower top-tier financial institutions with exceptional talent in banking and capital markets. We are currently seeking, on behalf of one of our clients, a high-caliber Vulnerability Manager.
Based in Montreal , you will lead the IT Infrastructure Cybersecurity Operations team, overseeing the enterprise-wide vulnerability remediation program for a major global banking environment. This role acts as a strategic bridge between Information Security and IT Infrastructure platform teams (servers, networks, databases, and virtualization). You will provide executive insights on infrastructure risk exposure and program effectiveness to senior leadership, including the CTO and the CISO office.
Experience: 7+ years in IT infrastructure security, cybersecurity operations, or vulnerability management within the banking or financial services sector.
Leadership: At least 3+ years in a management or leadership role.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
Communication: Proven ability to communicate technical infrastructure security concepts to executive audiences in English. French language skills are an asset.
Competencies: Ability to influence infrastructure teams without direct authority and work under regulatory pressure.
Experience: 7+ years in IT infrastructure security or vulnerability management within the banking or financial services sector.
Leadership: 3+ years in a management or leadership role.
Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT. CISSP or CISM certifications are highly preferred.
Communication: Exceptional ability to present technical infrastructure security concepts to executive audiences in English. French skills are an asset.
Mindset: Proactive and results-oriented, with the ability to influence technical teams without direct authority.
Vulnerability Management Tools: Expert use of Tenable and Nessus to track vulnerabilities from scans, penetration testing, and threat intelligence.
ITSM & Operations: Leverage ServiceNow and other ITSM systems to monitor remediation progress and manage workflows.
Infrastructure Domains: Provide expert guidance on remediation for Windows/Linux Servers, Network devices, Databases, and Virtualization platforms.
Security Strategies: Define and recommend strategies for patch management, configuration hardening, and the implementation of compensating controls like network segmentation.
Legacy & Critical Systems: Troubleshoot complex remediation scenarios specifically involving legacy systems and business-critical infrastructure.
Risk Governance: Review risk acceptance requests based on technical dependencies or vendor limitations, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory requirements.
Compliance: Align all vulnerability management procedures with IT governance and support regulatory examinations.
