Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking a qualified part-time Educational Assistant 2 , for a work assignment at our Bon Accord Community School.
Bon Accord Community School offers K-4 programming and is located approximately 20 minutes north of the City of Edmonton in the Town of Bon Accord.
The school has a student population of approximately 240 students and a dedicated teaching and support staff working together as a team to provide exemplary education to all students.
The school nurtures a safe and caring environment by offering various programs to encourage strong leadership. This assignment is subject to change based on operational requirements.
FTE : 0.5 FTE, Monday, Wednesday, and every other Friday, Part-Time Temporary
Initial Assignment : Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will work in a Kindergarten classroom.
Qualifications & Experience : Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate; experience working with Autistic children is an asset;
CPR and First Aid are desirable. Preference is given to applicants with experience and training with Autism, Behaviors, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
Must be comfortable with toileting / diapering. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.
Hourly Rate : $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
