About the Opportunity :
My client, a family-owned, established and growing company is seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join their team on a 2-4-months contract just West of the Niagara Region .
The candidate will be a strategic leader and be responsible for assisting with the year-end work load. This role will oversee full-cycle accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and meticulous management of intercompany transactions and reconciliations across various entities.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage all full-cycle accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and month-end / year-end close processes.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and consolidated reporting for the corporate group.
Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances across multiple entities, developing and enforcing processes for intercompany transactions and eliminations.
Oversee weekly cash flow management and bi-weekly vendor payment runs.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years as a Controller or Director of Finance
CPA designation is required
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standard
System implementation experience an asset
