Registered Nurse (Full Time)
Department: Family Practice / Internal Medicine
Location: 89 Interchange Drive, Richmond Hill, GA
SouthCoast Health is looking for a full‑time RN for our primary care Richmond Hill location.
Mon‑Fri; no weekends or evening shifts.
Requirements
Current Georgia RN or Compact Nursing licensure. Current BLS/CPR Certification.
Qualifications
- Able to assess patients' general condition, particularly the acutely ill patient and ensures that needs are met.
- Able to assist the physician(s) with examinations, vaccines, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Provide direct patient care as ordered by provider.
- Maintain confidentiality in matters regarding the clinic, its patients and employees.
Responsibilities
- Accurately document all patient observations, treatments and procedures administered, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed, hospital data in the medical record.
- Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physicians' advice and instructions on how to self‑manage care.
- Coordinate patient care by triaging patient phone calls regarding urgency of appointments, and scheduling hospital admissions. Process all patient referrals and required follow‑through. Maintain and keep updated referral report.
- Schedule lab work, specialist visits, completes necessary paperwork ensuring proper billing, completes physician orders. Verify and update patient data. Assist patients with completion of paperwork, as required.
- Assist with patient inquiries/concerns regarding medical care, medication instructions and prescription call‑ins in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
- Coordinate care with hospital, home health services, hospice or other institutional settings per provider's order.
- Administer immunizations and injections after reviewing immunization record, potential allergic reactions, identify and review side effects and treatments. Perform venipunctures, capillary punctures, specimen collection/preparation/testing and other lab functions as requested.
Education / Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of a BSN program. Minimum of one‑year clinical experience, preferably in a hospital or office practice setting.
