Dean, Health and Human Services

We are looking for an innovative leader to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Vice President Academic, the Dean is the academic lead for a range of certificate to degree programs in Health and Human Services. As Dean you will be responsible for advancing the College's academic mission, vision and strategic goals through cross-departmental and external collaborations. By fostering an exceptional student experience, supporting excellence and inclusivity in educational programming and promoting innovation and operational efficiencies, you will forge a strong sense of belonging, collegiality, and transparency to meet the needs of students and our communities. As the ideal candidate, you are a confident and approachable leader with sound judgement to lead within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Qualifications: A Master's Degree in a related field along with training in instructional pedagogy that supports best practices in assessment, delivery, and curriculum design at the post-secondary level; a Master's degree in Nursing is preferred and a doctorate degree is considered an asset. Seven years related experience in progressive leadership roles along with four years of teaching experience at a post-secondary level is required, along with knowledge of work-integrated learning, universal design for learning, and the Indigenization of curriculum is strongly preferred.

The selected candidate will have demonstrated experience in developing, designing, reviewing and revising curriculum and experience leading accreditation, articulation and quality assurance processes for educational programs.

As an employee of College of the Rockies, the successful candidate is expected to be a lifelong learner who continues to develop his/her skills to help the College meet the needs of our students and our other valued clients.

Salary: The starting annual salary is $119,865 - $159,820 for this Management Group position. Management Group employees are eligible for annual salary increases within and above the starting range through demonstrated performance. The College also offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including a defined pension, generous vacation entitlements, health and dental plan, and more.
