Job Description:

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for:

• Process high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
• Perform detailed three-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice)
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor aging and support timely resolution of open balances
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Maintain vendor records integrity
• Perform ongoing vendor account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing and audit support.
• Prepare and support accounts payable accrual calculations
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Job Requirements:

• 7+ year of proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in construction or other capital-heavy-industries
