Machine Operator- CNC

The Machine Operator position offers support and takes the lead in the day-to-day production of fabricated metal parts used in manufacturing various types of windows and driver protection systems for the mass transit industry. We are looking for safety-conscious, skilled and team-driven individuals who are capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.

The Successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and running various machines based on the work orders provided.
• Install tooling and secure workpieces properly.
• Adjust machine settings for speed, feed, and depth of cut.
• Working with your hands, lifting, and moving large pieces of metal, and standing for hours at a time, requires physical strength and stamina.
• Use of precision measurement instruments.
• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ensuring all items are correctly labelled.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Performing quality checks to ensure items meet quality standards.
• Collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have:

• Strong ability to work well with a diverse group of individuals.
• The ability to lift to 50 lbs. continuously when required.
• The ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• The ability to read/interpret drawings/breakdowns.
• Understanding the importance of producing quality products.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
