Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Landscape Department team for the season. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing landscape environments through hands-on horticultural practices. The ideal candidate has a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance and is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, pruning, edging, cultivating, watering, planting, and debris cleanup to ensure healthy and aesthetically pleasing garden beds and landscapes
• Operate or demonstrate willingness to learn equipment such as gas blowers, trimmers, and cultivators
• Assist with garden bed preparation and maintenance, mulching, and seasonal planting projects
• Install seasonal plantings and arrangements in beds, planters, and containers at various properties throughout the GTA.
• Complete softscape landscaping tasks including planting, transplanting, loading and transporting nursery stock, and reading and executing landscape plans
• Water and maintain various container plantings throughout the GTA
• Care for, prepare, load and transport plant material stored at the company shop
• Ensure proper storage and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticultural practices
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools such as lawnmower, hedge trimmer, weed wacker, blower, cultivator for landscaping tasks
• Strong understanding of plant care and landscape maintenance principles
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labour
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures when handling tools and equipment
• Previous landscape maintenance experience is considered an asset
