Facilities Manager

MatchBox is seeking a Facilities Manager / Building Operations

An exciting opportunity to grow your Facilities Management career with a respected Vancouver real estate group managing a high-quality portfolio of office, retail, and residential assets. This role is ideal for someone with 7–10 years of building operations experience who enjoys a mix of hands-on problem solving, vendor coordination, and tenant support. You’ll oversee roughly 100,000 sq ft of commercial space and support a 90-unit residential portfolio across Vancouver. The company offers strong benefits, a $5K annual RRSP contribution, wellness programs, and long-term stability within a collaborative, close-knit team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day building operations for office, retail, and residential assets

• Coordinate and manage vendors for maintenance, repairs, and preventative work

• Respond to tenant requests and ensure high service standards

• Perform minor repairs and hands-on maintenance when required

• Support building systems operations (HVAC, mechanical, life safety)

• Work with property management to maintain efficient building performance

Requirements

• 7–10 years experience in facilities or building operations

• Exposure to office, retail, or residential building systems

• Strong communication skills and confident dealing with tenants and ownership

• Hands-on mindset with basic repair and maintenance ability

• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for local site visits

• Organized, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Compensation for this role is based on a benchmark salary of $95,000, with the posted range reflecting approximately $90,000 to $115,000 in accordance with BC salary transparency guidelines. The typical hiring range, however, is expected to fall between $95,000 and $100,000, depending on experience, technical capability, and overall fit. The role also includes a strong benefits package, a $5,000 annual RRSP contribution, health spending and wellness allowances, and three weeks’ vacation.
