Your Opportunity:
The primary function of this position is (planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation) divisional and provincial initiatives and projects within EHS Clinical Practice related to quality management and improvement, accreditation, risk management, patient safety, research, clinical surveillance and utilization management in collaboration with EHS stakeholders. This position contributes to the EHS mandate of providing quality out-of-hospital patient care by leading or facilitating clinical and quality related initiatives to inform evidence-based decision making and improve patient care within Alberta.
Description:
The EHS Senior Quality Assurance Strategist position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating initiatives and projects related to EHS Clinical Practice with minimal guidance. Key competencies include clinical standards and governance, patient safety, quality assurance and improvement, risk and change management, reviewing patient care, data analysis and presentation, effective communications and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have related health care experience, education and a solid track record of achievement. This position will report to a Manager within EHS Clinical Practice.
Required Qualifications: Additional Required Qualifications: Proficient in the Microsoft office suite of programs (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Access, Project, Teams). Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications: An undergraduate degree, or a master’s degree in a related field ( quality, health, business, leadership, administration). Registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics as an Advanced Care Paramedic.
