Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a Receptionist for a short-term 2-month contract in Brockville, ON, with the possibility of extension. This opportunity is ideal for a professional and organized individual who thrives in a dynamic office environment and enjoys supporting multiple departments.
As a Receptionist, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming experience for visitors while providing administrative and operational support across the organization. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a professional and efficient front office.
  • Location: Brockville, ON
  • Schedule: Full-time | Temporary
  • Contract: 2-month Short-Term Contract (with possibility of extension)

Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Manage inquiries via phone, email, and in person, providing accurate information or directing inquiries to the appropriate department
  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area and office supply storage area
  • Assist with planning and coordinating meetings, guest visits, and special events including meeting room arrangements and catering
  • Accurately enter production team timesheet data into the ERP system
  • Monitor kitchen supply inventory and purchase items as required
  • Enter orders into the ERP system and assist with administrative order processing
  • Perform invoice price verification and receipt checking
  • Maintain organized filing systems and complete miscellaneous administrative tasks as required
  • Fulfill the duties of evacuation headcounter during emergency evacuation procedures
  • Create document packages by compiling engineering and technical documents for manufacturing teams
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures and report any safety concerns, incidents, or near misses
Requirements:
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as multi-line phone systems, printers, and copiers
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally stand, walk, bend, or lift objects up to 15 lbs
