You’ll work closely with experienced hydrogeologists, hydrologists, water resource engineers, and geochemists, building field and analytical skills in a supportive, safety‑first culture. Typical work will involve a mix of office analysis and field assignments in remote settings.

Working in British Columbia and Yukon offers a blend of professional challenge and northern lifestyle, with opportunities for outdoor recreation and a strong sense of community.

  • Assist in developing conceptual groundwater models; contribute inputs to analytical and numerical groundwater modeling tasks led by senior staff.

  • Draft sections of technical reports that document methods, results, and interpretations, including data gaps and uncertainties.

  • Assist in the preparation of figures, conceptual site models, cross‑sections, and groundwater flow visualizations that support design, permitting, and remediation decisions.

  • Support senior staff with schedules, estimates, and scopes; assist with proposal inputs (e.g., resumes, project descriptions, and task lists).

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Foundational skills in field methods (well installation observation, core-logging, groundwater sampling, slug/pumping tests) and data analysis.

  • Experience with interpretation of field test results (e.g., pumping tests, slug tests) and management of hydrogeological datasets. Experience with AQTESOLV is considered an asset.

  • Experience with Geospatial software (ArcGIS, Leapfrog etc .) is considered an asset; exposure to groundwater modeling tools (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW, SEEP/W ) considered an asset.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce clear figures and concise report sections.

  • Organized, proactive, collaborative, and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for field assignments.

  • Experience or interest in cold region hydrogeology (permafrost, freeze–thaw impacts, winter fieldwork) is considered an asset.

Education and Experience

  • B.Sc. (minimum) in Hydrogeology, Geoscience/Earth Sciences, Geological or Environmental Engineering, or related field; M.Sc. considered an asset.

  • 0–3 years of relevant experience (co op, internship, and research assistant experience counted).
