Position: Central Fill Registered Pharmacy Technician – Murphy's Kinlock Pharmacy
Location: Stratford, Prince Edward Island
Evening shift (Monday to Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for a total of 35 hours per week, with the potential to extend to 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. depending on operational needs)

Position Summary
Murphy's Pharmacies is seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Regulated Pharmacy Technician to join our Central Fill team. This role is essential to supporting our centralized dispensing model by ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient preparation of prescription orders for multiple pharmacy locations.

Qualifications
- Pharmacy technician license recognized in PEI or another Canadian Province
- Prior experience in community, central fill, or hospital pharmacy is an asset.
- Strong understanding of dispensing systems, automation, and pharmacy information systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Your Role
While we all work to provide services to clients, we all play different roles to make this happen. You'll contribute by:
Key Responsibilities:
Central Fill Operations
- Perform technical verification for a high volume of refill prescriptions in accordance with provincial regulations and organizational policies.
- Support Central Fill Operators in the operation of automated dispensing, manual dispensing and robotic packaging equipment as required.
- Ensure all prepared prescriptions are accurately organized and staged for delivery back to the home pharmacy location.
- Enter all outgoing deliveries into the delivery management platform to ensure timely and efficient next‑day delivery.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Follow all NAPRA, provincial regulatory, and organizational standards for centralized dispensing workflows.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Uphold all safety, security, and privacy requirements to protect patient information.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with Central Fill Pharmacist(s) providing on-site oversight to ensure all Central Fill activities meet regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with dispensary teams to resolve order discrepancies or questions.
- Participate in ongoing training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Long Term Care & Additional Support
- Assist with Long Term Care (LTC) operational tasks as needed and if time permits.
Work Environment:
- Central fill pharmacy facility with automated equipment.
- May involve exposure to noise, moving machinery, and temperature-controlled environments.
