Job Description
The IT & Facility Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our Quebec City studio. Acting as the primary on-site point of contact, this role ensures that the studio environment, equipment, and user access are fully operational to support artists and production teams.
This is a role combining IT support, equipment setup, and general studio maintenance. The technician works independently on-site while collaborating closely with centralized IT/SD teams for escalation and guidance.
Key Accountabilities :
Studio & Equipment Support
- Maintain and troubleshoot studio equipment, including computers, monitors, and peripherals.
- Install and configure TVs, monitors, and general equipment across the studio.
- Perform basic cabling and ensure clean, organized technical spaces.
- Set up, move, and reconfigure workstations and desks as needed.
IT Support
- Provide level 1–2 technical support for artists and production staff (Linux (RedHat), Windows, macOS environments via remote workstations).
- Troubleshoot hardware, peripherals, and connectivity issues (including remote access to centralized workstations).
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to computers and remote desktop workflows.
- Document, track, and manage requests and incidents using JIRA.
- Escalate complex issues to central IT/SD teams and collaborate on resolution.
Infrastructure & Facility Support
- Perform light maintenance tasks within the studio (e.g., installing lighting, minor interventions in technical or server rooms).
- Support basic server room tasks under guidance (equipment checks, simple interventions).
- Identify and report facility-related issues impacting operations.
Collaboration & Operations
- Act as the local point of contact between the studio and central IT/SD teams.
- Work autonomously to prioritize and resolve on-site issues while knowing when to escalate.
- Ensure workspaces and technical areas are ready for daily operations.
- Coordinate with central teams for deployments, changes, and incident resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar hands-on technical role.
Bilingual: in spoken and written in French and English*
Comfortable working with Linux (Redhat), macOS, and Windows environments.
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, peripherals, and basic networking.
Ability to work independently on-site and manage priorities in a production environment.
Comfortable collaborating remotely with distributed IT teams.
Able to perform light physical tasks (equipment setup, workstation moves).
Experience supporting computer clients and/or remote desktop environments is an asset.
