We are re-defining the fleet management industry to be people first, then business – delivering on our promise of a superior client experience. This takes hard work and innovation, and we need more like-minded people on our team.

About the Role

We’re looking for a collaborative and strategic Senior Data Architect to join our team as Senior Data Architect. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the value delivered by our Data Architecture team by turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. You will conduct full data lifecycle activities including requirements analysis and design, develop analysis and reporting capabilities, and continuously monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements. This position supports the transformation, development, and improvement of our data platform while ensuring compliance with Data Governance policies and operational stability.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform Data Architecture support for projects and enhancements, including crafting and executing data management, architecture, integration, and governance strategies.

  • Provide technical leadership for architecture, design, documentation, and maintenance of databases and related systems, including creating database storage structures, resolving database issues, and maintaining system security.

  • Support development and implementation of business applications that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.

  • Monitor daily operations of data loads, identify data discrepancies and data quality issues, and ensure data consistency and integrity.

  • Participate in project and enhancement estimation exercises and project team meetings, providing input, task status, risk identification, mitigation strategies, and issue management.

  • Collaborate with business partners to transform business requirements into environment-specific ETL, reporting, and data validation designs, and prioritize business and information needs.

  • Design relational databases and physical data models to support enterprise applications, data acquisition, and security requirements.

  • Review database changes to ensure no performance or functionality impacts and ensure production stability.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data architecture, information management or similar field.

  • At least five years of DBA/data development and data architecture experience (combined).

  • Proficient with PostgreSQL, Talend ETL, and Snowflake.

  • Strong ETL development knowledge including SSIS, ADF (Azure Data Factory), Boomi or equivalent, and data warehouse architecture techniques.

  • Proficient in the use of data modeling tools and producing and maintaining logical and physical designs.

  • Demonstrated ability to optimize, load, and process large datasets from different data sources and formats while ensuring data quality and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PostgreSQL/Snowpro (for Snowflake) certifications preferred.

  • Experience working closely with business professionals and technical resources, acting as a bridge between the two groups and liaising with vendors.

  • Familiarity with fundamental Data Governance and security concepts and processes.

  • Experience in the Fleet Management business is preferred.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collect business requirements, develop and document data models, and present findings.
