As a Personal Lines Underwriting Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our underwriting operations — managing the full administrative lifecycle of insurance policies and playing an essential role in delivering a seamless experience for our underwriters, producers, and clients alike. This is more than a support position; it's a launchpad for a rewarding career in insurance.

A day in the life –

• Provide support our team of diverse Underwriters with general administrative duties.

• Perform data entry and set up new business policies.

• Process renewals, new business, and cancellations:

  Update and maintain our broker management system

  Request cheques for client refunds

  Contact sales team advising of discrepancies

  Compare and analyze data from carriers to existing client files

  Perform billing of client premiums

  Prepare client document packages

What you bring –

• Easy going and down to have some fun with a customer service mindset.

• Ready to work hard and crush goals.

• Detail oriented and reliable.

• Thrives in a fast paced, team environment.

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

• Level 1 Insurance License is an asset.

• Minimum of 1 -2 years’ experience within an office and/or administrative capacity is an asset.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is an asset.

Salary Expectations –

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid-time-off benefits, and eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.
