Intent of the process The initial intent of this process is to fill three (3) indeterminate, English essential positions located in Borden, Ontario and possible others in Petawawa, ON. A pool of partially or essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process and used to staff identical or similar positions with various employment tenures (temporary and permanent), language profiles, operational requirements, and conditions of employment at the Department of National Defence.

Conditions of employment
CO1. Reliability status.
CO2. Possession of a valid, unrestricted, provincial or territorial equivalent AZ driver’s license.
CO3. Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain a valid DND 404 licence.
CO4. Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 30kg, climbing ladders, working on uneven surfaces, and sitting for periods of 4-5 hours on a daily basis.

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATIONSPossession of a valid AZ Driver’s License without restrictions from the province of Ontario or other provincial or territorial equivalent___________________________________
EXPERIENCEEX1: Experience in the operation of a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to: Dump Truck, Grader, Tractor Trailer, Front End Loader and Bulldozer.
EX2: Experience performing operator inspections and daily maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to: Dump Truck, Grader, Tractor Trailer, Front End Loader and Bulldozer.
EX3: Experience in maintaining driver logs, defect sheets and other applicable documentation_________________________________

- A variety of vehicles including light commercial vehicles up to and including tractor trailers.
- material handling equipment (MHE) carriers and other vehicles including attachments such as vehicle mounted cranes, winches, and various trailer configurations.
AEX3: Experience training personnel on equipment operation, inspections and maintenance.
