M. Davis Landscape & Design Inc. is seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Equipment Operator to join our team for the upcoming busy season.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience operating a Skidsteer in residential and commercial landscape construction projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating a skid steer
• Experience operating excavators, loaders, and backhoes
• Residential and commercial landscape construction experience required
• Ability to assist labour crews with general site work when equipment operation is not required
• Ability to read and understand utility locates
• Experience with final grading is considered an asset
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
• Ability to load and unload trucks and equipment
• Must have reliable transportation

Key Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to company and industry standards
• Assist foremen and superintendents in completing daily project tasks and objectives
• Conduct daily electronic pre-use equipment inspections using a mobile device
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing and checking fluid levels
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment and cab cleanliness
• Follow all company safety procedures, OHSA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements
• Participate in daily Pre-Job Safety Assessments (PSAs) and weekly toolbox talks
• Properly use PPE, protective devices, and required safety equipment
• Report hazards, incidents, unsafe conditions, or equipment defects immediately
• Adhere to Canadian Landscape Standards and company quality expectations
