We are seeking an experienced Forklift Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial lift trucks and forklifts. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently at a physical job site. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and capable of delivering high-quality service while communicating effectively with supervisors and customers.
Work EnvironmentOn-site position (no remote work option)
Hands-on role involving mechanical and electrical repairs
Requires physical work in an industrial setting
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems on industrial lift trucks and forklifts
Adjust, repair, or replace defective engine, electrical, and mechanical components
Troubleshoot and isolate engine faults and performance issues
Perform scheduled maintenance and preventive service
Repair and rebuild hoisting mechanisms and other related mechanical systems
Test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure safe and proper performance
Review and interpret work orders and technical blueprints to determine repair requirements
Estimate repair costs and required parts
Accurately document inspections, diagnostics, and repair work completed
Communicate findings and job updates with supervisors
Advise customers on work performed and overall equipment condition
Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:
2 to less than 3 years of hands-on experience working with industrial lift trucks or forklifts
Experience working on industrial lift trucks and forklifts
Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service documentation
Specialized knowledge in forklift repair and maintenance
Valid driver's licence
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently
