Responsibilities:
- Material Verification and ControlUses methods to inspect arriving, in-process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements.Uses a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment, and statistical control process.Inspect products on the floor.Verified/performs First Article (FA) Inspection and conformity inspections.Raises notifications of non-conformance, quarantines non-conforming product and, when approved to do so, provides disposition.Plan, organize, direct and report on special process related activities to assure engineering requirements are met for special processes.
- Mission/Quality AssuranceProvide area program direction to assure quality tasking is accomplished within budget, on time and as defined in planning.Identify and address areas where the adequacy of area, certification/verification/ validation/qualification approaches and process/product noncompliance have the potential to impact overall mission success.Responsible for continuously reviewing quality strategy, practice and procedure to ensure the customer requirements are met.
- Quality Systems and ComplianceWork with other functions to ensure system are compliant, efficient and can deliver to customer requirements.Audit, conduct and support audits including providing feedback on non-compliance and corrective actions.Determine if all products are process are aligned with regulatory standards.
- Quality EngineeringCollaborate internally to ensure quality standards are in effect.Recommend corrective actionsSupport active programs by developing and implementing defined quality and mission assurance activities to ensure that company and contractual QMS requirements are complied with.Act as a point of contact for both internal and external customers – notably the QRO Quality Assurance Representative of USG and other customer representatives.Perform evaluation of product test reports as required.Perform quality witnessing of factory acceptance testing of product.Monitor and make use of the internal auditing and corrective action tools and processes.Execute on training and development plans to support the needs of the function and the division.Maintain awareness of budgeted activities.
- Supplier QualityManage supplier submission of nonconforming material.Conduct source inspection and material release processes.
Requirements:
- University bachelor degree or post-secondary diploma in a related field, or the equivalent in training and experience.
- 5 year+ as a quality assurance practitioner.
- Experience with quality management tools (i.e. root cause analysis, document management systems, etc.) a definite asset.
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills.
- Ability to lead change efforts and mentor others in a positive manner.
- Effective teamwork skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality specifications and standards.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools for budget and work tracking purpose.

This position is required to work onsite at our facility in Waterloo, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
The salary range for this role is 65,000 CAD - 107,800 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
