Café Server Permanent Casual Position (with potential to be part time by fall 2026) 9 Positions available across all sites: 3 - Brampton Site 3 - Mississauga Site 3 - Halton Site Work Arrangement: Onsite New Position Compensation Range: $21.95 - $25.64/hour Position Summary: ErinoakKids is seeking enthusiastic individuals to fill permanent casual positions as Café Servers at ErinoakKids new café – Erin’s. This role supports the daily operations of ErinoakKids small café that specializes in hot and cold beverages along with prepared food.

This role ensures a welcoming customer experience, preparing hot and cold beverages, operating the point of sale (POS) system, maintaining cleanliness, and restocking products as needed. Key Responsibilities: Pick up and return float at the beginning and end of each shift Reconcile cash, float, and sales totals accurately after each shift Process customer transactions using the POS system Engage with customers in a friendly and attentive manner, identifying their needs and responding with clear, courteous communication Taking customer orders and executing accurately Prepare hot and cold beverages orders according to Erin’s standards and established recipes Ensure order accuracy from POS machine/sticker Serve customer beverages and food items promptly and professionally Follow all Workplace safety, sanitation and food handling procedures Inventory management using FIFO (first in, first out) procedures Maintain café cleanliness Qualifications: High School Diploma or Certificate [OSSD/OSSC] Ontario Food Handler’s Certification (must be within 5 years) – obtained or willing to obtain Experience at ErinoakKids (former client of ErinoakKids) Previous hospitality experience preferred (volunteer, co-op or employment) Previous customer service experience preferred Point of Sale (POS) experience is an asset Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of a team and build relationships Flexible, motivated, dependable, reliable Ability to work flexible hours (mornings and afternoons) Valid driver’s license and/or ability to work across the sites is an asset Bilingualism in French and English is an asset Attn: Internal Staff Staff actively working in these roles may be prioritized based on your circumstances: Expression of Interest (EOI): Employees currently in this position who wish to be considered for a transfer (including a change in stream, site, or employment status) should select “Paste Resume” and clearly outline your requested change in the text box provided.
