Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a major credit card initiative. This role requires deep domain expertise, strong regulatory understanding, and the ability to work across complex system ecosystems. The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of BA experience, strong soft skills, and a proven track record in financial services.
The initiative involves extensive mapping, API integrations, technical discovery, and collaboration across multiple delivery teams. Candidates with credit card, financial institution, or BMO experience will be strongly preferred.
Essential Skills & Experience
Business Analysis & Domain Expertise
10+ years of Business Analyst experience (preferred to ensure maturity in soft skills and stakeholder engagement).
Strong regulatory experience, especially in financial services.
End-to-end requirements management across:
Branch applications
Mobile platforms
Web applications
Deep understanding of financial institution processes, ideally including:
Previous BMO experience
Other banks or financial institutions
Credit card domain experience (highly preferred).
Strong background in credit risk management and understanding of core banking functions.
Technical Expertise
Experience working with APIs, including mapping, integrations, and technical documentation.
Strong understanding of system ecosystems and how platforms interact across the enterprise.
Experience with cloud migration projects.
Experience with database migration initiatives.
Ability to provide concise, technically informed answers across a variety of domains.
Agile Delivery
Several years of experience working in Agile environments, including ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning.
Ability to plan initiatives, break down epics and stories, and collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams.
Soft Skills & Leadership
Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Demonstrated capability in:
