Job description

The Opportunity:

The Quality Control lab assistant assists the QA/QC department with various tasks involved in the day-to-day operations of the lab.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· Be able to effectively understand and adhere to a variety of guidelines and work procedures (including health, safety, hygiene and sanitation), along with prioritizing and organizing workload;

· Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and as a team;

· Inspect customer product samples to identify faults or errors

· Assist QC Lab Supervisor in entering the required data and maintain database records

· Complete external lab testing submission forms and samples for testing

· Occasionally completes special projects as assigned including assistance to Quality Control lab Chemists with various chemical testing

Qualifications & Experience:

· Currently enrolled or recent graduate in post secondary education in a science discipline

· Candidate must be self motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision and work effectively in a team environment

· Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software
