We're looking for a Casual Part-time News Producer with a can-do attitude! Someone can put a news show to air, who loves to chase news, and thrives under pressure and deadlines. A strong communicator and storyteller who embraces innovation and new technology.

Various producing responsibilities will form a regular part of the work, including lining-up newscasts, vetting news content, coordinating with CityNews teams across the country, and overseeing our 24/7 livestream channel.

This is a casual position and will require weekend and evening shifts.

What you will do:

• Line up news shows and take them to air on our traditional broadcast channels and 24/7 livestream channels
• Collaborate with supervising producers for show needs/requirements
• Complete, vet all production elements needed for air (fonts, graphics, outcues etc.)
• Find, chase, research news content for multiple markets
• Write content and vet stories
• Assign news stories when needed
• Locate visuals/materials needed to tell story
• Support and communicate with field teams (VJs, ENG)
• Contribute to /help generate story ideas and pitches
