Part-Time Nanny Position – Medicine Hat, Alberta

Our family in Medicine Hat is seeking a nurturing, reliable, and engaged nanny to care for our infant and two toddlers. This is a live-out, part-time position offering $20.00 per hour.

We are ideally looking for someone with a background in early childhood education, particularly a kindergarten teacher or someone with kindergarten-level experience, though equivalent hands-on childcare experience is also welcome.

The right candidate will have a genuine love for young children, a warm and calm demeanor, and the ability to engage actively with little ones at their level.

Requirements :

English fluency sufficient to support early language development

Kind, patient, dependable, and emotionally attuned

Previous nanny or childcare experience with references

Comfortable playing on the floor, getting involved in activities, and being fully present with the children

Limited phone use during working hours, except for urgent matters

Responsibilities

Supporting children according to their current developmental stages (guidance and context will be provided)

Preparing age-appropriate activities in advance (resources will be supplied)

Engaging children in planned activities such as reading, arts and crafts, singing, outdoor play, and other learning experiences

Preparing and serving meals and snacks

Tidying play areas and maintaining a safe, organized environment

Assisting mom with outings to parks, libraries, and other child-friendly locations

Schedule & Terms

Monday to Thursday, and some Saturdays

8 : 30 a.m. – 1 : 00 p.m.

A one-month trial period to ensure a good fit for both the family and the nanny
