Application Analyst - Intermediate

About the Role

We are hiring an Application Analyst to support an Enterprise Database Archival Service running on Cloudera Data Platform (CDP Public Cloud) hosted in Azure.

This is a net-new role supporting a mission-critical big data environment. You will work closely with IT teams, end users, and stakeholders to ensure the stability, performance, and optimization of the CDP platform.

This role combines big data platform administration, Azure infrastructure support, troubleshooting, and analytics enablement.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide technical support and maintenance for Cloudera Data Platform (CDP Public Cloud)

• Perform upgrades, patching, and system configurations across Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Warehouse, and Data Visualization

• Administer user access and audit data using Ranger, Console, Virtual Warehouse, and DataViz

• Troubleshoot issues across HDFS, Hive, Impala, YARN, Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure PostgreSQL, SSSD, FreeIPA, and Azure IDP

• Manage Azure infrastructure including VMs, Storage Accounts, Private Subnets, Private Endpoints, roles, identities, and quotas

• Support incident, access, and change management processes using ServiceNow

• Build and optimize data warehouses and data lakes

• Create dashboards and analytics using CDP Data Visualization

• Gather requirements and document technical processes

• Identify risks and recommend improvements

Mandatory Requirements

• 4+ years of experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP)

• 4+ years of experience with Azure Infrastructure and Services

• 4+ years of experience with Big Data and Business Intelligence technologies

• 4+ years of experience with CDP upgrades, patching, and system maintenance

• 4+ years of experience with Data Warehousing and Reporting tools

• 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes clusters and Linux (RHEL)

Nice to Have

• Experience with UAT planning and monitoring

• Azure subscription management and cost analysis

• Dashboard and report development

• Experience working in government environments
