Automation Specialist - Remote

Are you an Automation Expert with a strong background in Kubernetes based platforms (i.e. Openshift). Do you have experience working in complex organization environments (ideally within the Public Sector).

We're looking for an Automation Specialist for an initial 12 month contract with the potential for extensions! This is a remote opportunity that may require minimal travel on-site (once per quarter to Victoria British Columbia).

Responsibilities
• automating the creation, configuration, and management of instances of Kubernetes-native applications through Openshift operators;
• developing automation for platform configuration management;
• implementation and testing of new platform tools and services including CI/CD pipeline development for builds and deployments; and
• evaluation of new platform tools and providing recommendations to the Province for technology selection.

Qualifications
- Relevant Education and experience
- minimum four (4) years of demonstrated experience in using advanced automation
techniques on a Kubernetes-based platform
- minimum four (4) years of experience using Git with open-source projects;
- minimum five (5) years of experience developing automation using ArgoCD or Ansible;
- minimum of four (4) years of experience working as a core team member using Agile methodology
- preferably knowledge of Terraform and GoLang.
