Workday HCM Analyst - Focus on WD

We are looking for a Workday HCM Analyst for a 3-month contract to support a client-side Workday environment. This role focuses on post-production optimizations and enhancements, with hands-on configuration across Workday Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits. You will partner with HR and business stakeholders, translate requirements into system updates, and support light testing activity. The role is fully remote within Canada.

Contract Details

• Contract length: 3 months (approx.)
• Location: Remote (must be based in Canada)
• Start: ASAP / near term (adjust as needed)
• Client-side role: working directly with HR and business stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and clarify requirements from HR and business stakeholders, including non-technical audiences
• Configure and maintain Workday modules with a focus on:
• Absence
• Time Tracking
• Benefits
• Support post-production enhancements, optimizations, and minor change requests
• Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend practical solutions
• Complete light testing activities including test scripts, execution, and support for UAT
• Produce clear documentation including configuration notes, change impacts, and user-friendly summaries
• Partner with HR, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure changes align to business processes

Required Skills and Experience

• Hands-on Workday configuration experience (must have)
• Strong configuration experience in:
• Workday Absence
• Workday Time Tracking
• Workday Benefits
• Experience supporting post-production environments (optimizations, enhancements, continuous improvement)
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to communicate clearly with non-technical audiences
• Experience supporting testing activities (unit testing and UAT support)
