Weekend Sonographer

Summary

We are seeking a weekend and holiday coverage sonographer to join our passionate team at Care Imaging Inc. We support Markham Fertility Centre with their ultrasound needs. Weekend duties are limited to cycle monitoring (limited internal pelvic ultrasound examination) and ultrasound-guided procedures. This position is paid at a premium ($200 base pay for a 3hr shift and $40/hr after that).
Saturday/Sunday and STAT holiday hours:
- Cycle monitoring 7am-10am.
- Ultrasound-guided procedures are on an as-needed basis, typically between 7am-12pm.
Employee parking is provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for fertility cycle monitoring
• Provide ultrasound guidance for oocyte retrievals and embryo transfers (training provided on site)
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures while providing clear instructions.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and patient care.
• Maintain accurate records of examinations and patient information.
• Stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in ultrasound technology.
• Participate in continuous professional development opportunities offered by the clinic.
• Mandatory coverage of 3 assigned STAT holiday shifts - same hours as a weekend shift

Requirements

• Certification as a Sonographer from an accredited institution.
• Experience in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
