RPN - Registered Practical Nurse (Oshawa)

Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

Location: Oshawa, Ontario

Shift/Hours: Monday to Friday. Shifts can vary; you must be flexible to work either 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Pay Rate: $30.62/hr.

Position Overview

This role will support a local pain management clinic in Oshawa. The position involves providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, and supporting clinical operations in accordance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and assist with prescribed treatments
• Conduct nursing assessments and prioritize patient care needs
• Educate patients and families on care plans, treatments, and health management
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and clinical protocols
• Provide emotional support and make appropriate referrals when needed
• Support treinamento and guidance for clinical and support staff
• Assist with day-to-day clinical operations and other nursing‑related tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing
• Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience
• BLS or First Aid certification
• Ability to assess and triage patients effectively
• Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and infection control practices
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work in high‑pressure environments with emotional resilience
• Successful completion of a criminal background check

Work Conditions

This position is based in a clinical outpatient setting. Work involves standing for extended periods, direct patient interaction, and adherence to strict safety and health standards.
