Responsibilities For Team Lead Security Guard

• Support operational requirements during incidents, major events, or other emergencies; assume responsibility for appropriate decision‑making in critical situations and notify superiors and the Contracting Party as soon as possible.
• Train onsite security staff.
• Assist in planning major events and other activities taking place within the building.
• Provide security guards with the necessary information to perform their duties in accordance with the Contracting Party’s instructions.
• Monitor and, where necessary, coordinate resources during response situations.
• Initiate only service calls that have been pre‑authorized by the Contracting Party and, when applicable, obtain approval prior to any unscheduled requests. Ensure the implementation of required emergency measures and compile relevant information from involved parties.
• Maintain communication and partnerships with other building departments, including maintenance, customer service, and tenant representatives.
• Oversee enforcement of the fire prevention program, including hot work permits, and ensure appropriate follow‑up during and after work activities.
• Assist in the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
• Review, approve, and validate security reports.
• Keep the on‑site management team informed and cooperate with clients to ensure clear and effective communication of events.
• Maintain and enforce established security procedures.
• Perform any other related duties as required by their immediate superior and/or the Contracting Party.

Qualifications For Team Lead Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada.
• Hold a valid security license.
• WSIB approved first aid certification.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Reliability Security Clearance.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience as a Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision‑making skills, with demonstrated leadership abilities.
