Financial Controller
High-impact finance contract within a global mining leader in Montréal. This 12-month mandate plays a key role in IFRS reporting, complex transaction analysis, and SOX compliance while partnering with international finance and tax teams. What is in it for you:

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for external and management reporting.
• Assess accounting treatment and financial impact of complex and non-routine transactions under IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate accounting policies.
• Partner with Finance, Tax, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
• Support continuous improvement of financial reporting processes and frameworks.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes.
• Identify issues, assess risks, and recommend practical accounting solutions.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
What you will need to succeed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA designation.
• 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bilingual in English and French to support global financial reporting activities and collaborate with both international and local stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working in a matrix environment with strong cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Mining or heavy industry experience is an asset.
• Joint Venture Accounting experience is an asset.
• Experience with SAP and Hyperion Financial Management is an asset.
