Commissionaires provides security services for over 200 sites and are located in over 110 communities across the province.
Our client base runs from the Federal Government to local municipalities, airports, industrial sectors, and commercial/residential buildings.
Our guards are not only behind the scenes providing security and access control, but front and centre providing valued customer service to the public.
As the Fingerprinting Services Clerk you will be contributing to the financial success and growth of the organization through the provision of our Fingerprinting Services to our clients, security professionals and general public.
Your key responsibilities will be to coordinate and administer the day to day activities of the fingerprinting services office.
This position is based in our Vancouver office and Surrey Central Mall location. We are looking for casual on call (1-2 shifts per week) and a part time (3 days per week) Fingerprinting Clerk. This our offices are open Monday to Friday between 9am and 5.30pm (8 hours per day) with Saturday shifts in Surrey. You have strong self-management, organization and entrepreneurial skills Thrive in a customer service role Enjoy meeting and greeting new people every day Excellent verbal and written communication skills Some of your responsibilities include: Efficient delivery of all fingerprinting service offerings including; police clearances, public works clearances, Scan to Digital service and future new offerings Ensures that applications are completed accurately Liaises with various institutions and organizations relating to clearances and fingerprinting issues Ensures the security and privacy of all documents Documents all services for invoicing purposes Ensures accurate handling of all financial transactions Liaises with fingerprinting lead division as required (Ottawa) Contributes to the success of the department by maintaining general operations Liaises with Supervisor/Management regarding the day-to-day operations of fingerprinting services Investigates and resolves problems as required.
Must-Haves 2 years’ experience in a customer service, retail and/or security role Ability to successfully complete security clearances (Public Works level 2, requires 10 years in Canada) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Willingness to travel between our Surrey and Vancouver offices Professional interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure in a dynamic environment Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills Strong administrative skills Nice-to-haves Previous experience working in a security related industry and issuing security clearances OFA 1 Having a BC Driver’s license in good standing is an asset.
