Forge Recruitment has partnered with a leading full-service law firm to hire an Accounting Clerk for their downtown Toronto office. This hybrid role requires three days in-office and two days working from home.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, this role supports the accounting team with data entry, billing, trust, AP / AR processing, bank reconciliations, and monthly reporting. You’ll also maintain organized financial records and provide backup support as needed. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The Offer
The firm offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of up to $70K, performance bonuses, benefits, vacation, a hybrid work schedule, RRSP contributions, and more.
What You Bring
To qualify for this role, you should have at least 3 years of accounts receivable and collections experience, with experience in a legal accounting environment strongly preferred. A certificate or diploma in accounting is required, along with solid knowledge of general accounting procedures. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and is flexible, deadline-oriented, and highly organized. You work well under pressure, can manage multiple priorities, are committed to ongoing learning, and can collaborate closely with a team while also working independently.
