Shipper and Receiver

Staff Plus is currently looking for a Shipper and Receiver with a valid Forklift license for Ajax.

The hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm.

It pays $21.00 to $23.00 depending on experience.

This a full time on-going position with the potential of being hired permanently.

Responsibilities
• Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documents
• Computer Literate – Excel, Word, Outlook
• Schedule shipping and ship products in accordance with shipping orders
• Assemble orders, packing, wrapping and labelling pallets, place materials in staging area
• Fabricate wooden crates and apply specified packaging materials
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages or defects
• Checks contents of packages for conformity with shipping orders, address packages to be shipped, and accurately weigh packages.
• Keep accurate records of shipments and receive proper receipts from carriers
• Operate all types of material handling equipment, such as forklift trucks, hoists, or pump trucks
• Keep working areas clean and tidy
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Unload incoming material shipments and store efficiently in designated locations
• Organize stock and maintain inventory; restock materials as required
• Organize space in the warehouse
• Assist in completion of inventory audits
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping the warehouse tidy, complying with established policies and procedures
• Physically able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, lifting- up to 50 lbs. routinely
• Perform other duties assigned

- Valid Forklift license (Counter Balance)

- Must have computer skills

- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to stand, walk and lift

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
