  • Collaborate with global leaders and stakeholders across operations, technology, legal, compliance, and risk to drive RIM policy compliance, awareness, and training initiatives.

Governance and Operations

  • Analyze and compile metrics and reports to track progress on Global and Segment/Function RIM initiatives, using dashboards, automation, and AI-enabled insights to support effective decision-making across all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee the Global Record Retention Schedule, partnering with Compliance, Legal, Operations and Risk teams to maintain alignment with evolving legislation and regulations.
  • Support the Global RIM CoE Lead in defining and implementing standards, projects, and best practices that optimize the lifecycle management of records.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in records/Information management/computer science/data analysis or library science or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications in risk management, auditing, compliance or RIM are advantageous.
  • Experience in managing large-scale archival and destruction projects.
  • Familiarity with global insurance operations and regulatory environments.
  • An understanding of Manulife lines of business, various global functions and organizational framework.
  • Proven ability to work in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Purview, SharePoint Online, Power BI, and the Power Platform, with experience or demonstrated capability in Power Apps, Power Automate, workflow automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Familiarity with records management software and systems, such as SharePoint, Alfresco, Confluence, or similar applications, and the ability to assess how these tools can integrate with automation and AI capabilities to improve lifecycle management and controls.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience in records management an asset.
  • Enthusiastic about experimenting with emerging technologies, including AI, automation, and advanced analytics, to drive impactful results and scalable process improvement.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and driven to find solutions and deliver results in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance, integrity, and operational excellence.
  • Strong program and project management skills and ability to independently manage multiple conflicting priorities and deliver a quality result within tight deadlines.
  • Proven leadership experience and demonstrated ability to forge consensus of diverging views from cross functional stakeholders.
