Job Title: Material Handler - DaysJob Description

This position will be a material handler within the warehouse side of operations, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and inventory within the company.

Responsibilities

• Pick heavy parts weighing up to 50lbs using reach (full extended fork) and counterbalance.
• Bend and pick up units efficiently.
• Convert all skids onto the rack system.
• Pick material from shelves and place onto skids, then onto racks.
• Load, unload, move, and store a variety of incoming materials.
• Receive and deliver products in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Planners, Buyers, and intra-office personnel to maintain inventory and process shipments.
• Operate forklift truck to move materials and stack loaded pallets.
• Load outgoing trucks using hand truck, lift truck, or overhead crane.
• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering materials promptly.
• Assist in troubleshooting transactional and procedural problems related to inventory accuracy.
• Perform appropriate transactions efficiently and accurately on the current business system.
• Count, weigh, or measure incoming or outgoing orders and compare against bills of lading and invoices for accuracy.
• Provide backup to shipping and receiving as required.
• Pack, seal, and label materials for shipment.
• Adhere to shipping and receiving policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance procedures.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of Material Handler experience.
• 1.5+ years of reach experience.
• 1.5+ years of counterbalance experience.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
• External counterbalance and reach license.
• Proficient with RF scanner, inventory management, and shipping and receiving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1 year dock stocker experience (nice to have).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs consistently.

Work Environment

Medium-sized manufacturing company. Shift hours are from 7:00AM to 3:30PM for training (approximately 1 month), followed by afternoon shifts from 3:30PM to 12:00AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
