Bilingual commercial collection agent

We are seeking a results-driven Commercial Collection Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This role is perfect for a collections professional who thrives in high-stakes environments and understands the nuances of secured lending and asset recovery.

Location - Laval

Hybrid: 3 days a week from home

Based salary: $56,000-63,000

Responsibilities
Support the resolution of pending client matters

Facilitate agreements and coordinate with various stakeholders

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth workflows

Assist in follow-up related to claims and recovery processes

Conduct research to locate key contacts as needed

Refer matters to other areas of the organization when appropriate

Help prepare documentation and manage file transitions

Contribute to general team support and administrative duties

Qualifications
3 years of experience in a commercial collections, understanding of equipment recovery

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Managing a portfolio of commercial accounts with a focus on secured assets.

Negotiating repayment plans and navigating the complexities of asset-backed loans.

Collaborating with internal teams to streamline the recovery process.

Maintaining professional communication with clients in both French and English

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Good problem-solving and negotiation abilities

Proficient with commonly used office software

Additional language skills or knowledge of legal/financial frameworks considered an asset
