Reporting to the Finance Director, the Controller will be responsible for supervising an accounting team made up of 3 people (Assistant Controller, Analyst and Accounting Technician).

The Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day management of financial operations (invoicing and accounts receivable, accounts payable, project cash flow and profitability) as well as the end-of-month process (financial statements, analysis and sharing of results at the management, accuracy of supporting documents in the balance sheet, etc.) for the companies under its responsibility.

Your day-to-day

• Supervision of a team;
• Prepare/Revise, Approve and Present to management (GM/CFO), the monthly financial statements and various analyzes of the companies under his responsibility;
• Manage and/or support the team in the daily management of the operational activities of the companies under his responsibility (Cash, Invoicing, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Cash, inventory, project profitability);
• Make a first approval of payments, within his delegation of authority;
• Make payments under the various banking platforms of the companies under his responsibility;
• Review and approve various entries before they are recorded in the system;
• Ensure the accuracy of the accounts (Balance Sheet) and supporting documents to the GL;
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures;
• Participate in the preparation of the budget of the companies under his responsibility, in the forecasts and in the monthly follow-up of these;
• Supervision/review of royalty reporting to rights companies for the whole group and supervision of the work of the royalty analyst and presentation of reports to senior management;
• Supervision/revision of the reporting of commissions to be paid to sellers;
• Participate in annual and statutory audits of companies under its control;
• Participate in the implementation project of a new ERP;
• Participate in various other special mandates (acquisitions, integrations, performance monitoring, process automation/improvement).

Your qualifications

• Degree in Accounting and/or Administration
• Accounting designation (CPA)
• 10 years of accounting experience
• Experience in a similar position within a company, with supervision and in-depth knowledge of the entire accounting cycle (invoicing, accounts payable, payroll, month-end closing, etc.)
• Experience in inventory management, an asset
• Experience with EDI, an asset
• Experience supervising staff
• Bilingual (French and English)
• Knowledge of Netsuite and/or D365, an asset
