What You Will Do:
As a Coordinator, Warehouse, this position is based in Dartmouth and may require occasional travel to other operational centres within the Eastward Energy franchise. Reporting to the Supervisor, Crew, you will support day-to-day warehouse operations and help ensure materials and equipment are available, organized, and well maintained to support both the Construction and Operations teams. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Receiving incoming stock and operating a forklift to load and unload delivery trucks;
- Performing quality assurance checks and entering order electronically;
- Conducting warehouse cycle counts and preparing reports and requisitions to replenish supplies;
- Issuing stock and managing contractor material orders, including the shipment of small packages and long-haul oversize shipments;
- Supporting the company fleet by scheduling and coordinating vehicle maintenance and managing pooled vehicle inventory;
- Assisting with the annual calibration of equipment; and
- Performing light janitorial duties and supporting overall shop maintenance.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
This position has the following occupational requirements:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including ladder use and lifting of heavy materials.
- Forklift operation is required; candidates with prior forklift experience, training, or certification are considered an asset. Candidates without must be willing to complete required training and certification.
- A strong commitment to working safely and willingness to complete required safety training (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid).
- A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
To excel in this position, we recommend that candidates have the following skills and qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a warehouse-based environment.
- Knowledge of the natural gas distribution systems, including familiarity with related equipment, materials, and processes, is considered an asset.
- Warehousing or inventory management experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment care and maintenance.
- Basic computer knowledge and skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
