Our client, a Vaughan law firm, is currently looking for a Corporate Legal Assistant. This firm has an excellent culture and a lot of career development opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities :
Draft, edit, format, and revise agreements, correspondence, letters, memoranda and other documents;Receive, handle, screen and / or direct incoming calls as directed by lawyers;Facilitate the creation and production of closing books, both paper and e-copies;Open / close / maintain legal files;Perform administrative duties with respect to expense claims, docketing, billing, scanning, and photocopying;Prepare / edit / revise pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents;Manage calendars and reminder systems for lawyers;Coordinate meetings and conferences;Screen, answer, and / or route calls, email, and letters;Work proactively as a positive and productive member of the team;Manage dockets and prepare accounts; andAssist with other administrative needs as necessary.Requirements :
Legal Administration and / or Law Clerk Diploma;Minimum of 5 years solid work experience in a corporate legal environment;Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office and legal software);Familiarity with the Ontario Business Corporations Act (OBCA), Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA), and other relevant federal and provincial legislation.Knowledge of accounting / docketing systems and document management systems;Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks;Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written);Positive, proactive, even-keeled, team player attitude; andExcellent communication, practice management, and problem-solving skills.HOW TO APPLY :
