Job Description
Representing The Fairmont Banff Springs through excellence in guest service. Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Front Desk and Royal Service Night teams. Lead, teach, coach and inspire the supervisors and colleagues of the Front Desk and Royal Service while committing to helping the hotel become one of the world's finest heritage resorts.
Starting Rate: $28.57 per hour
We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $31.30.
Job Duties Include:
- Lead and supervise Front Desk operations, ensuring seamless guest arrival and departure experiences while collaborating closely with Royal Service and other teams.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Front Desk colleagues, including 1:1 mentorship, performance feedback, and ongoing training to support professional growth.
- Drive exceptional guest service and service recovery, empowering colleagues to resolve issues and ensuring follow-up and tracking of guest concerns.
- Uphold departmental and Fairmont standards, including health & safety, emergency procedures, and promoting the hotel’s vision, values, and service culture.
- Communicate effectively with leadership and teams, manage performance, stay organized with time-sensitive tasks, and perform physical job requirements as needed.
Qualifications
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 years previous Front Desk supervisory experience in a Large Hotel preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Property Management System (PMS/OPERA CLOUD), word and excel.
- Previous working experience in Front Office or a customer facing role.
- Experience in dealing with guest concerns with excellent recovery
- Graduate of Hotel Management or Hospitality program an asset
- Excellent written and verbal skills with a high attention to detail required
